Natural herbs and therapy to combat alopecia

Nature has its own way of healing. The only thing we lack is adequate knowledge in that domain. Although advancement in science and technology is coming up with newer ways of treating diseases, it is making us drift away from natural modes of healing. A pharmaceutical drug is usually preferred over a natural herb, only because it is quicker to produce results. What people do not realize is that nature has no side effects, therefore the results that a natural therapy would produce, although will be slower, but will last for a longer time.

You can treat your own alopecia using natural remedies. One of the simplest remedies which has produced promising results, is using onion juice on scalp. Onions are an antiseptic as they contain a great amount of sulfur. To treat alopecia with onion, crush an onion and take out its juice. Use this juice to massage onto your scalp for about 15 minutes and let it dry naturally. You may also rub onion skin on bald areas. After the juice dries on the scalp, shampoo and wash with warm water.

Garlic is another sulfur rich vegetable that promotes hair growth. You can crush a few cloves of garlic to take out its juice, followed by adding coconut oil to the mixture. Allow the mixture to heat on very little flame for a few minutes and then cool it down. Now, apply the mixture on your scalp and massage well. After 30 minutes, wash with cold water.

One of the best ways to treat alopecia is through lavender oil. The oil is not only useful in de-stressing, but it also has proven to exhibit tremendous results in treating hair loss by promoting growth of hair follicles. To achieve the best results, mix it with any carrier oil (almond or coconut oil), and apply it on your scalp. Alternatively, rosemary oil can be used similarly to produce even better results. Another alternate is to use rosemary leaves. You can boil them, followed by straining the leaves. Use this water to wash your hair to achieve remarkable difference in alopecia.

Fenugreek seeds are potent inhibitors of dihydrotestosterone, which is the main cause of alopecia. Therefore, it can be used to correct the condition. Soak the seeds overnight, and then later grind them along with water to make a paste. Use this paste to apply on your scalp, leave it for 30 minutes, after which you may shampoo.

The antioxidants in green tea can also be used as natural remedies to treat alopecia. Make a cup of green tea, let it cool, and use a cotton cloth to dip in the solution. Use this cloth to apply the mixture onto your scalp. Let it dry, and wash after an hour.

Natural remedies do not produce results overnight. Therefore, make sure you are patient. It is a wise decision to choose a healthier, although a slower method to treat alopecia, compared to an artificial but a quicker way.
